Join the MSTAThe Midwest Speech Technology Assocation (MSTA) does not have any restrictions or requirements that limit membership. Anyone who participates in speech technology, or is interested in speech technology, is invited to join. At present, we do not have any membership dues. To join the MSTA, simply subscribe to the MSTA mailing list. You will then receive our (infrequent) mailings and invitations to our bi-montly meetings. Please note that you do not have to be currently employed to be a member of the MSTA. In fact, we encourage MSTA members who are currently looking for work to bring their resumes to meetings and place them on our "information table."
Mailing ListDescription
Meeting notices, news, and other announcements will be available through our "announcement-only" general mailing list. Only board members can send messages, and the list of subscribers is kept confidential. We generally have only one or two messages a month, but prior to meetings we often send out a few extra emails. The Special Interest Groups have their own mailing list. Please see the SIG page for further information. How to Join the Mailing List
To join the mailing list, please follow these instructions, which are simpler than they appear. Please send email to our majordomo server. The following text should be sent in the body of the message:
The Majordomo program will send you two email messages in return. One email message will acknowledge your "subscribe" command, and the other message will request that you authenticate your subscription -- authentication prevents false subscriptions. Please follow the instructions in second email to authenticate your subscription. You will receive, again, two emails: one that acknowledges your commands to majordomo, and another that includes your welcome message to the MSTA mailing list.
Once you're subscribed, you will receive messages from "msta /at/ disaggregate.com". Only moderators may post to the list. Further Help and Information
If you have trouble subscribing to the list, please contact Moshe Yudkowsky for assistance. |
